Industry is the part of an Economy that makes a group of similar good or services. There are several industries across the world. The industries has evolved over years as following:

The First Industrial Revolution (Industry 1.0)

The First Industrial Revolution also known as Industry 1.0 began in England in 1760s revolutionized industry manufacturing shifting from manual labor to machine based production which was mostly powered by steam engines which used renewable energy like coal.

The Second Industrial Revolution (Industry 2.0)

The Second Industrial Revolution also known as Industry 2.0 that began from 1870s brought in new technology advancements. Electricity powered the machinery which boosted the capacity and performances of all industries.

The Third Industrial Revolution (Industry 3.0)

The Third Industrial Revolution also known as Industry 3.0 brought in digitization in 1970s into the industries. Computing Systems, Networking and Information Technology (IT) were integrated into industry infrastructure. Automation was another key aspect in industry 3.0.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0)

The Fourth Industrial Revolution also known as Industry 4.0 which started in 2000s moved the industry to next level of technology advancements.
